Job Summary
Hire Resolve is currently assisting a well-established manufacturing company in Cape Town in their search for a Utility Maintenance Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of utility systems within the manufacturing facility.
As the Utility Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all utility systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, are functioning properly and efficiently to support the manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the maintenance and repairs of utility systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of utility systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage and provide technical guidance to the maintenance team
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor utility consumption and implement energy conservation measures
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repair history and costs
Requirements:
- Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements
