Job Summary
Running diagnostic tests on machinery. Analyzing diagnostic test results. JOB ADVERTISEMENT Ref No: PO HR – 05 Rev No: 01 Approval Date: Approved By: Pages: Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems. Checking vehicle lighting systems. Test driving vehicles to gauge performance. Performing preventative maintenance on vehicles. Troubleshoot and repair problems on heavy earthmoving machines (dump trucks, shovels, dozers, graders, loaders, excavators, drill rigs etc.) Servicing of machines.Safety, Health, Environment and Quality People management and effectiveness Machine availability, efficiency and quality of workmanship Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles. Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist. Maintaining a parts inventory. Ensuring the cleanliness of the machinery. Minimum
Requirements:
At least Five (5) years experience as a Mechanic working on various Earthmoving Equipment in an Opencast Mining Environment (Komatsu, Caterpillar, Sandvik and Hitachi machines). Qualified Diesel or Automotive Mechanic ASE Diesel Certification advantageous.Valid driver`s license. Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components. Good IT and diagnostic skills. Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds. Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools, Aptitude for mathematics and science.
