Job Summary
The candidate’s responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate interactive English language workshops, tutorials, and lectures aligned with the curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Support students in developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Evaluate and assess students` progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Collaborate with faculty members to support interdisciplinary learning initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
The successful candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching English at the tertiary level or to adult learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate diverse student groups.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching.
- Knowledge of South Africa’s higher education landscape desirable.
