About the Role
Our client, a leading brand within the financial services sector, seeks an experienced Manager of Regulatory Affairs to drive transformation and foster an inclusive, diverse workplace. Key Responsibilities
- Horizon Scanning: Monitor, capture, and review regulatory trends and developments, promptly summarizing potential impacts for affected divisions.
- Legislative Influence: Collect and submit formal comments on proposed legislation to regulators, government bodies, or industry associations.
- Implementation & Alignment: Oversee the creation and successful execution of implementation plans for new legislation, ensuring internal controls, policies, and processes meet legal standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Operations teams to identify regulatory risks and develop robust internal procedures.
- Strategic Advisory: Provide high-level advice to senior management regarding regulatory changes, risks, and emerging opportunities.
- Industry Representation: Act as the group’s representative on industry bodies, committees, and forums.
- Thought Leadership & Research: Conduct ad hoc research and author articles on pertinent regulatory and policy matters.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and develop the regulatory affairs team to ensure they remain highly informed and equipped.
Requirements
Experience: 7 years of experience within the Financial Services industry.
Qualifications
A completed B.Com LLB degree.
