Job Summary
Senior Artisan: Identify mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults that may lead to machine breakdown and to suggest best ways and practices to mitigate further problems. Operational Work shift and standby as per operational requirements. Perform preventative maintenance tasks, checks and scheduled inspection when necessary. Analyze and interpret technical drawings/wiring diagrams. Inspecting and repairing of industrial machinery. Disassembly of machines in order to detect faults if necessary. Ensure equipment function optimally for production effectiveness. Support Support Artisans with breakdowns and preventative maintenance. Support Maintenance Planner with preventative and critical maintenance schedules. Stand-in for Maintenance Manager. Troubleshooting Electrical, mechanical and pneumatic fault finding Verifies and confirms results of Root Cause Analyses investigations on breakdowns and major failures. Competencies Adherence to policies and procedures Task orientated and attention to detail Strong problem-solving abilities Time management skills Role Accountabilities: Accurate performance of responsibilities within timelines Implementation and adherence to policies, procedures, quality and compliance standards. Troubleshooting and resolving of problems Seek out new developments to increase efficiency Regularly contributes useful ideas for own work area/ team within defined parameters Work requires minimal problem resolution Adherence to SOPs, WI and Procedures for your area. Ensure by means of planned maintenance that production processes are optimized, overall downtime reduced and operational performance increased. Experience and Qualifications: Recognized trade Test Minimum of 10 years experience in trade Maintenance Management experience Knowledge and skills Understanding Food Safety standards and compliance requirements Thorough understanding of electrical, mechanical and process equipment Salary – Market related
