Job Summary
- Conduct inspections and audits of offshore vessels including PSVs, AHTS, crew boats, flotel barges, and rigs.
- Ensure compliance with IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, OCIMF, and company-specific marine procedures.
- Liaise with contractors and internal departments (Operations, Drilling, Subsea) to provide marine expertise.
- Monitor vessel performance, cost allocations, and technical issues including breakdowns and repairs.
- Participate in tender processes, including drafting technical specifications and evaluations.
- Support offshore projects, seismic surveys, and emergency response planning.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international regulations and implement procedural revisions.
- Collaborate with HSE, cost control, and offshore security teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Health, Safety & Environment:
- Participate in emergency drills, incident investigations, and risk analyses.
- Promote a strong HSE culture and ensure full compliance with safety protocols.
- Serve as a member of the Crisis Management Unit and Board of Enquiry when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- STCW Master Mariner Class 1 or 2, or Chief Engineer certification.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Master or Chief Officer on offshore vessels.
- Valid BOSIET and offshore medical certification.
- Strong knowledge of offshore vessel types and manual maneuvering capabilities.
- Proficiency in English (French or Portuguese is a plus).
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and technical report writing.
- Adaptable, solution-oriented, and capable of working under pressure in multicultural environments.
