• Matric 
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Requirements 

• 3+ years of experience in SMPP design or engineering
• Proficiency in CAD software – SolidWorks & AutoCAD essential
• Knowledge of Bysoft and Sigmanest nesting software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T
• Experience with FEA/CFD tools preferred
• Knowledge of relevant standards ISO, ASME & EN  is a plus
• Well spoken in English & Afrikaans 

Duties 

• Design and develop SMPP components, assemblies, and systems
• Create detailed 2D/3D drawings and engineering documentation
• Create BOM  and order requisitions for buying department for assigned projects
• Perform simulations, analyses, and testing to validate designs
• Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with the sales, design and manufacturing, teams
• Manage projects from concept through production
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations
• Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
• Must be available to work overtime and weekends on short notice.
• Must be available during night shifts “Standby”
• Must have own transport. (non-negotiable)
