Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of all pastry and dessert items for the lodge’s fine dining and special events.
- Supervise and mentor junior pastry staff, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain inventory levels, ensuring the kitchen is fully stocked with the necessary ingredients.
- Assist in menu development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal and themed desserts.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and cleanliness in the pastry section.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create memorable guest experiences.
- Handle special dietary requests and ensure high-quality, personalized dishes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, with a minimum of 3-5 years in high-end establishments.
- A formal culinary qualification (Pastry Diploma or equivalent).
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and creativity in pastry design and presentation.
- Experience with special dietary requirements (gluten-free, vegan, etc.) is a plus.
- Passion for working in a luxury environment and providing exceptional culinary experiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining quality.
- A positive attitude and a collaborative team spirit.
