Job Description

Job Purpose The Billing Administrator is responsible for managing accurate billing processes, maintaining financial records, and supporting the department with reconciliations and account-related queries. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work efficiently under pressure while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare, process, and manage billing functions in accordance with company procedures. Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate financial and billing records. Capture and verify data on billing systems and ensure correctness. Identify, investigate, and correct errors in billing and financial information. Liaise with internal departments and clients regarding billing queries. Ensure timely and accurate processing of all billing-related transactions. Assist with reporting and general administrative duties within the department. Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records. Minimum Mandatory Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Valid Drivers Licence (preferred). Own transport (advantageous). Computer literate with strong experience in MS Excel and Microsoft Office. Accurate and be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines Team player Excellent advanced excel skills -must be able to do V-lookups and do Pivot tables Able to work after hours when needed Working with clients, excellent interpersonal customer service skills Accuracy as the role involves billing and checking vast amounts of data Reliability Good timekeeping, attendance and work ethic required Previous experience with billing systems/software. Basic knowledge of financial and accounting principles. Skills & Competencies High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to identify errors and take corrective action. Strong numerical and reconciliation skills. Good time management and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure. Strong problem-solving ability. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional, reliable, and honest work ethic. Ability to work independently as well as within a team. Customer service orientated with a professional approach. Willingness to work overtime when required.
