A growing Property and Investment Management Group is seeking to employ a Group Finance Manager to lead their finance function. This role reports directly to the CEO and their head office is based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town with interests across the country.
The ideal candidate will have a completed finance degree, completed SAIPA, CIMA or SAICA articles, and post articles experience in a similar role will be an added benefit. A minimum of five years experience is required and working knowledge of Xero and property management a positive. Supervisory or management experience will be a definite positive.

Job Summary:
The Group Finance Manager will ensure the seamless management of financial transactions, from processing invoices to maintaining accurate financial records. This role is integral to ensuring the companys financial operations run smoothly, aligning with accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the full finance function across 5 entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Manage cash flow, treasury, and consolidations while protecting landlord ROI through care and professionalism.
- Deliver accurate monthly management accounts and reports for landlords, investors, and stakeholders.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making at CEO and Board level.
- Ensure compliance with SARS regulations (VAT, PAYE, UIF, EMP returns) and oversee annual audits.
- Mentor and manage the finance team, fostering collaboration and shared accountability.
- Drive process automation, system improvements, and reporting innovations.
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and key stakeholders.
- Champion financial practices that support student success and community impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Postgraduate qualification and advantage).
- Professional qualification will be a positive AGA(SA), PA(SA), CIMA, CA(SA).
- Minimum 5 years finance experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role.
- Strong knowledge of South African tax laws and compliance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple entities and consolidated reporting.
- Proficiency in Xero (or similar cloud-based systems), MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Experience in property, asset management, or audit environment advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.

Remuneration:
- R360,000 to R480,000 pa, negotiable on experience.
