About the Role
Metal Tank Industries Ltd is seeking an experienced NDT Technician to join our team in Benoni, East Rand. As a key member of our fabrication factory, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our stainless steel products through non-destructive testing (NDT). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in die penetration testing of stainless steel welds and experience with pressure testing of various equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct NDT tests on stainless steel welds using die penetration testing
- Perform pressure testing on pressure vessels, pipes, boilers, coils, and jackets
- Work independently without supervision to meet strict production deadlines
- Ensure high-quality products are delivered to our customers
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any quality control issues
Requirements
- Level 1 qualification in NDT or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience with die penetration testing of stainless steel welds
- Previous experience with pressure testing of pressure vessels, pipes, boilers, coils, and jackets
- Ability to work in a high-volume pressurized fabrication environment without supervision
Qualifications
- Level 1 qualification in NDT or a related field (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology)
