About the Role
The Operations / Installations Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting daily warehouse operations, inventory management, and site installations. This position requires a hands-on individual with technical/mechanical aptitude to ensure seamless day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily warehouse operations and inventory management
- Prepare, pack, load, and dispatch goods accurately
- Assist with deliveries, collections, and onsite installations
- Provide hands-on support with assembling, positioning, and troubleshooting systems
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, company vehicle, and trailer
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock counts and reconciliations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of warehouse and work areas
- Complete basic admin tasks, reporting, and documentation
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company procedures (SHE & SOPs)
Requirements
- Grade 12 (essential)
- Technical/mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools
- Warehouse, installation, or marine experience advantageous
- Comfortable working in/around water; must be able to swim
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence; EB licence (towing with a trailer) preferred
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office 365 beneficial)
- Forklift licence advantageous
