We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Foreman to oversee our site operations in Mpumalanga. The Workshop Foreman will be responsible for managing a team of technicians and ensuring the timely and efficient completion of all maintenance and repair work on vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, exceptional mechanical knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise a team of technicians and provide guidance and direction as needed
– Monitor and prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance
– Perform quality control checks on completed work to ensure adherence to company standards
– Coordinate with parts department to ensure necessary materials are available for repairs
– Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of workshop staff
– Maintain a safe and organized work environment, enforcing all company safety policies
– Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff as needed
– Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on their vehicle repairs
– Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications:
– Matric with formal technical qualifications
– 2 – 5 years of experience as a qualified technician
– Excellent communication and leadership abilities
– Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
– Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
