Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Depot Manager in their food processing facility in the Free State. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our silo bag depot, ensuring efficient storage and distribution of raw materials for our production processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the silo bag depot, including receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials.
• Ensure the proper handling and storage of materials to maintain product quality and integrity.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
• Implement and maintain safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Supervise depot staff and provide training and guidance as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, receipts, and shipments.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as production and maintenance, to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Resolve any operational issues or customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Stay current with industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in warehouse or depot management in the food processing industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and inventory management systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Candidates with demonstrated silo bag management experience
• Grading certified (Wheat, Maize, and Soybeans)
• Fumigation certified
• Health & Safety certified
