A recent professional profile photo is to accompany your application EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Permanent SECTOR : Finance BASIC SALARY : Market Related START DATE : A.S.A.P / Immediate REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar role, with strong familiarity with accounting software (SYSPRO advantageous) Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and SYSPRO Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans Degree in Financial Accounting (BAcc, BCom, BCompt) or a similar qualification Certified Bookkeeper qualification is a plus Completion of SAICA or SAIPA articles will be advantageous Own reliable transport is essential and non-negotiable DUTIES: Accurately record financial transactions (sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and journals) in the companys accounting software or ledgers Maintain accurate and complete ledger entries, regularly reconciling any discrepancies in financial records Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data Conduct monthly reconciliations on all balance sheet accounts and ledgers Manage and reconcile petty cash, credit card purchases, and sales representatives travel and accommodation expenses Oversee fleet management, including fuel cards, logbooks, and accounting for fleet vehicles Assist in tax preparation by gathering and organizing financial data for audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations Handle monthly VAT201 preparation, reconciliation, and submission Prepare and generate financial reports for internal review Manage the purchase order process, including creation, communication with suppliers, tracking deliveries, batching POs to delivery notes, and reporting on outstanding POs at month-end Assist in preparing annual audit files and liaise with auditors as required Perform all other financial and administrative duties related to the position HOURS: Monday to Thursday: 08:00 17:00 Friday: 08:00 15:00
