Location: Various Commercial Sites (Bloemfontein, Cape Town, and Durban) Travel Required
Position: Electrical Site Agent
Reports To: Project Manager/Construction Manager
Are you an experienced Electrical Site Agent with a passion for large-scale commercial projects? Do you have a proven track record in managing electrical installations at hospitals, shopping centres, and other commercial buildings? If so, we want you to join our dynamic team!
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Site Agent with 8-10 years of experience in the electrical and construction industry (commercial installations like buildings, hospitals and shopping centres). This exciting role offers the opportunity to manage and oversee electrical installations on high-profile commercial projects across Bloemfontein, Cape Town, and Durban. As an Electrical Site Agent, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all electrical work is carried out safely, on time, and in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control: Oversee inspections of electrical installations to ensure they meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict OHS guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
- Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and clients, providing regular updates and resolving any issues.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed project records and submit progress reports to stakeholders.
- Resource & Material Management: Oversee the delivery and usage of materials, ensuring efficiency and minimizing delays.
- Client Interaction: Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth communication and high-quality electrical work.
- Travel & Flexibility: Willingness to work away from home and travel to various project sites, with the option to return home on month end.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: 8-10 years in the electrical industry, specializing in commercial installations (hospitals, shopping centres, etc.).
- Certifications: Completed Trade Test as an Electrician, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) certification, and a valid Drivers License.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Excellent skills in Excel
- Personal Traits:
- Organized, professional, and self-driven.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
