Purpose of the Role:
The IT Technician / Driver is responsible for providing technical support, installation, and delivery of IT equipment to clients. This role combines hands-on technical duties with safe and timely transportation of hardware and related products.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
Matric (Grade 12) essential.
IT certification (A+, N+, or equivalent) highly advantageous.
Valid Code 8/10 drivers licence with clean driving record.
12 years experience in IT support or hardware maintenance.
Experience in deliveries/logistics will be beneficial.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of PC assembly, hardware troubleshooting, and repairs.
Basic understanding of networks and operating systems (Windows).
Ability to diagnose and resolve common IT issues.
Soft Skills & Attributes:
Reliable, trustworthy, and customer-focused.
Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Good communication skills (Afrikaans and English preferred).
Physically fit and able to handle heavy equipment.
Professional presentation and strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Duties:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Perform basic network setups, cabling, and connectivity testing.
Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and software updates.
Assist with hardware repairs, component replacements, and upgrades.
Provide on-site technical support to clients and internal departments.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and service calls.
Driver & Delivery Duties:
Safely transport and deliver IT hardware, accessories, and components to clients across Bloemfontein and surrounding areas.
Collect returns or faulty equipment from client sites.
Ensure all deliveries are signed for and handled with care.
Maintain company vehicle in good condition and adhere to road safety regulations.
