EE Earthmoving Mechanic, Boksburg. Rneg + Ben
- Trade Test Certificate (Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic).
- Minimum 5 years post-trade experience working with earthmoving or heavy-duty construction equipment (e.g., CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, Bell, Hitachi, etc.).
- Proven ability to perform diagnostics and fault finding on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid drivers license (Code 08 ).
- Must be a South African citizen and EE candidate.
Key Duties
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on earthmoving machinery and equipment.
- Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Inspect, test, and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Carry out field service repairs and respond promptly to breakdowns on-site or at client locations.
- Maintain detailed service records and complete job cards accurately.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with OEM specifications and safety standards.
- Assist with component rebuilds, such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with workshop supervisors and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
- Keep tools, equipment, and the workshop area in a clean and safe condition.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
