Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our clients team in Boksburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections
• Repair or replace defective parts such as injectors, brakes, clutches, gearboxes, and engines
• Conduct engine overhauls and rebuilds when required
• Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify issues
• Ensure all work is completed according to safety and quality standards
• Keep accurate service records and job reports
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
• Respond to breakdowns and perform on-site repairs when required
• Comply with company policies, health & safety regulations, and OEM standards

Requirements

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Trade Test required)
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Experience with trucks, heavy-duty vehicles, or earthmoving equipment (advantage)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools
• Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure
• Valid driver’s license (Code 10 or 14 advantageous)
• Willingness to work overtime or standby when required
• Must be based in or willing to work in Boksburg
