About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and solutions-driven Special Projects Consultant to support the planning, costing and execution of special projects, events and travel programmes for our client in Sandton. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for preparing detailed itineraries, operational documents and providing on-site assistance when required, while remaining flexible to evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute a variety of special projects, including events and incentive-related initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality, organisation and follow-through
- Prepare detailed itineraries and operational documentation for projects and travel programmes
- Liaise with a well-established network of suppliers, partners and service providers to secure the best options, rates and experiences
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships to support project and event requirements
- Negotiate effectively with suppliers to optimise value and maintain profitability
- Apply cost-savvy decision-making to ensure all projects, itineraries and events remain within budget
- Monitor budgets carefully and ensure accuracy in costings and financial processes
- Provide on-site coordination, support and issue resolution to ensure flawless execution of travel support for incentive groups
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- 3 to 5 years’ experience within the tourism industry
- Travel & Tourism qualification (advantageous)
- Tourplan knowledge and execution (advantageous)
