About the Role
Take full ownership of the finance function, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and robust internal controls. Lead and develop a high-performing finance team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Act as a trusted financial advisor to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes across the business
- Provide forward-looking financial insight, scenario modelling, and variance analysis
- Monitor performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions where required
- Deliver timely, accurate monthly management accounts and statutory reporting
- Oversee preparation of consolidated and entity-level financial statements
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
- Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and funding requirements
- Monitor receivables, payables, capital expenditure, and asset management
- Track key financial ratios and working capital performance indicators
- Provide profitability analysis by product, service, or customer where relevant
- Support strategic initiatives through financial modelling and feasibility studies
- Develop dashboards and management reports highlighting key performance drivers
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial and operational risks
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings
- Maintain professional relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and advisors
Requirements
- Minimum 5 + years post article experience outside of audit
- Minimum 5 + years managerial experience
- Experience in FMCG, Mining, Manufacturing, Engineering or Renewable energy
- SYSPRO experience is non-negotiable
- Forex experience
- Project based experience will be beneficial
- A Valid license and own vehicle will be required
Qualifications
CA(SA) preferred OR ACMA, CGMA with CIMA
