About the Role

Professional Career Services is seeking a skilled and self-driven Accountant to join its finance team at the Game Lodge Group. This role supports multiple properties within a time-share environment, requiring strong financial acumen, leadership ability, and a hands-on approach to operational finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and strengthen financial controls across all units.
  • Assist Finance, Operations, and General Managers with budgets, schedules, and operational programmes.
  • Analyze monthly financial accounts for each property and report anomalies to senior leadership.
  • Prepare monthly financial packs and weekly financial reports.
  • Compile variance reports on budget overspends and highlight discrepancies or policy changes.
  • Oversee year-end audits and ensure adherence to financial manuals and checklists.
  • Draft new financial policies and procedures for executive approval.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant or Finance Manager within the hospitality industry.
  • Matric required; further financial qualifications are advantageous.
  • Valid RSA ID.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with SAGE One.
  • Proficient in VIP Payroll / Payspace.
  • Working knowledge of CIMSO is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Completed Matric.
  • Further financial qualifications (e.g., degree or diploma) are advantageous but not required.
