This modern & contemporary daytime Artisan Bakery, Butchery & Deli in Cape Town offers a vast selection of farm to table style cuisine with freshly made take-away, counter or sit-down menu options. All dishes are homemade & baked using farm-fresh ingredients and made from scratch.

ProStaffSelect are in search of a skilled, highly organized and driven BUYER / MERCHANDISER to join this farm-to-table business. This is a chance to bring creativity and precision together, curating seasonal, organic, and grass-fed food that inspires customers and reflects the companys core values.

REQUIREMENTS

BSc level Qualification in Retail / Hospitality / Food Service Management.

5 7 years buying or merchandising experience within a premium food, retail, or hospitality environment.

Deep understanding of farm-to-table principles and a love for seasonal, sustainable food.

Confident, organised, and deadline-driven individual with strong supplier management and presentation skills.

A creative thinker with the discipline to deliver consistently and on time.

Exceptional knowledge of MS Office, POS & Back of House Systems.

High-energy, innovative & service focused personality, with a positive disposition.

Ability to handle high-stress situations and work under pressure

Effective delegator / able to solve problems, manage staff and find solutions

Shows attention to detail, must be self-disciplined with excellent planning and organizational skills

Adaptable and able to juggle multiple responsibilities

Flexible and physically fit

Strong admin, finance, planning & control skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the Creative Director and Owner up to 2 days / week, helping to shape their product and merchandising vision.

Spend 3 days with suppliers and within the businesses, ensuring the very best produce and products are sourced and beautifully presented.

Create and deliver merchandising strategies that celebrate seasonality, sustainability, and quality.

Prepare insightful reports and engaging presentations to share with the board.
