ABOUT THE ROLE Our client, a luxury 4-star beach hotel set on the iconic Blouberg beachfront, is seeking a Bar Supervisor (Evening Shift) to oversee the smooth running of the hotels busy bar operation. The successful candidate will be service-driven, well-organised, and confident in leading a bar team to deliver exceptional guest experiences during peak evening hours. This role requires hands-on leadership, excellent product knowledge, and the ability to manage operations under pressure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise daily bar operations during evening shifts Lead, motivate, and train the bar team to maintain high service standards Oversee stock levels, ordering, and bar controls Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws, hygiene, and health & safety standards Drive upselling initiatives and promote cocktails, specials, and hotel offerings Handle guest queries and resolve complaints in a professional manner Maintain bar cleanliness, presentation, and atmosphere Assist with cash-ups, reporting, and operational administration MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 23 years experience as a Bar Supervisor or Senior Bartender in a 4* or 5* hotel or upmarket bar/restaurant Strong knowledge of cocktails, mixology, wine, and beverages Excellent communication and leadership skills Proven ability to train and manage a team Stock management and cash-up experience essential Ability to work evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays Grade 12 (Matric) required; Hospitality or bar training qualification advantageous Professional, well-groomed, and guest-focused approach South African citizens only OFFER Competitive market-related salary 15 days annual leave Contribution to Provident Fund Meal on duty Evening shift hours (typically 3pm close) Career development opportunities within a luxury hotel environment APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Submit an updated CV with your South African ID number Include contactable references Ensure your CV is 100% up to date (critical for shortlisting) Only applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be contacted.
