About the Role
A Cape Town-based travel tech company is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to lead the development and management of their BI and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will transform complex data into actionable insights, driving business value through effective data modeling, analysis, and visualization techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for routine and ad-hoc needs.
- Identify opportunities to enhance data capabilities, tools, and processes.
- Conduct regular data analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights using advanced modeling techniques.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver self-service analytics and reports.
- Drive adoption of self-service analytics across the business.
- Collaborate with IT, Data Engineering, Product, and Operations to ensure seamless data integration.
- Work with the Data Engineer to onboard and operationalize new data sources and optimize the reporting data model.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3 years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or similar.
- Advanced SQL skills including performance optimization and working with large datasets.
- Proficiency in Power BI and Python.
- Experience using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for web analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field.
