About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our plant operations in Cape Town City Centre. The appointed person will ensure that the plant is designed, operated, and maintained safely, legally, and efficiently, in line with South African legislation. This senior legal, technical, and leadership role requires a strong understanding of OHS Act, PER, and relevant SANS standards.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with OHS Act, PER, and SANS standards
Operate and maintain plant equipment
Lead all engineering disciplines and set engineering standards and philosophies
Approve designs, calculations, and specifications
Ensure equipment selection suits chemical service (corrosion, temperature, pressure)
Align engineering strategy with production and safety goals

Requirements

GCC and Engineering degree from a reputable institution
At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role
Minimum 8 years engineering experience in a chemical/petrochemical / heavy industrial environment
Proven experience with pressure equipment, statutory inspections, and legal compliance

Qualifications

Government Certificate of Competency (Manufacturing plant)
