About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Secretary/Litigation Secretary to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the personal injury department with pre-lodgment process of RAF claims, litigation support, and general administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the pre-lodgment process of RAF claims
  • Prepare and manage documentation required for lodgment of claims with the Road Accident Fund
  • Obtain and follow up on supporting documentation from clients, medical professionals, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain and organise client files and records in accordance with legal procedures
  • Provide litigation support to attorneys where required
  • Draft and format legal correspondence and documentation
  • Manage administrative and secretarial tasks within the personal injury department
  • Handle telephonic and written communication with clients and third parties in both Afrikaans and English
  • Assist with general departmental administration when required

Requirements

  • Education: Matric (Grade 12)
  • Proven experience working with Personal Injury / RAF claims
  • Experience: Minimum 34 years of experience dealing with RAF matters
  • Practical experience with the RAF lodgement process is essential
  • Afrikaans fluency will be highly beneficial
