This role will suit an IT Professional who can confidently step into a senior-level BSA role and help drive improvements across critical systems. You’ll work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Testers, and internal stakeholders to define requirements, support solution design, and guide implementation. Responsibilities include: Translate business needs into clear user stories with acceptance criteria and system specifications Refine and maintain a backlog of ready-to-develop requirements, in close partnership with product owners Collaborate with Developers and Testers to design practical, scalable solutions Contribute to sprint ceremonies and help teams stay aligned with user needs Support test planning and UAT, making sure nothing falls through the cracks Identify process improvements and explore how systems can better serve users Maintain diagrams, data flow documentation, and solution records Keep an eye on trends that could shape smarter, more modern implementations Requirements: Either a degree (NQF 7) with 5 years’ relevant experience or a diploma (NQF 6) with at least 8 years in business systems analysis Strong experience in Agile environments, particularly working in or with Scrum teams The ability to map out complex business processes and define actionable requirements Comfort with system integrations, including API-based approaches and cloud platforms Previous exposure to higher education environments would be a bonus A mindset that blends analysis, planning, collaboration and delivery
