Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings to industry standards. Perform structural analysis and optimization of composite designs using FEA tools. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and materials engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and production efficiency. Support prototype builds, testing campaigns, and performance validation activities. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Junior Engineers. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, design best practices, and material innovation. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Experience in mechanical design within the composites industry (aerospace, automotive, marine, sporting goods, industrial, etc.). Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, and Creo). Solid understanding of composite material behaviour, laminate theory, and manufacturing processes. Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, HyperWorks or similar) for composite structures. Excellent knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and industry standards.
