About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. You will be responsible for designing and developing risk & compliance features for financial services, including AML/KYC workflows, sanctions checks, automated filings, and dashboards that are both intuitive and effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build risk & compliance features for financial services
- Implement AML/KYC workflows, sanctions checks, automated filings, and dashboards
- Develop backend wizardry using Java (Spring Security), Python, Go
- Showcase frontend flair with React / Angular
- Manage SQL & NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch
- Utilize cloud platforms like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience
- At least 4 years of experience in compliance systems
- Backend mastery of Java (Spring Security), Python, Go
- Frontend skills with React / Angular
- Deep knowledge of AML, KYC, MiFID II, CCAR
- Bonus points if you have experience with no-code tools or AI for compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent
