A leading recruitment firm is seeking a qualified and motivated Electrical Engineer (Heavy Current) to join a dynamic engineering team in a growing, project-driven environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of electrical control systems and panels, supporting both internal production and external client requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BTech or BSc in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) also considered

Experience & Technical Skills:

• 12 years’ experience using EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical

• Knowledge of EC&I (Electrical, Control & Instrumentation) systems

• Electrical panel building experience (1 year advantageous)

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Basic project management skills (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design motor control centres (MCCs)

• Generate parts lists, IO lists, cable schedules, and quality control documentation

• Liaise with the panel building team and workshop manager to ensure design accuracy

• Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Update and re-issue designs in accordance with workshop or site modifications
