About the Role
A well-established boutique hotel in Cape Town is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused Financial Manager to oversee all on-site financial operations and controls. This role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with company procedures, and providing meaningful financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all property-level finance functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with group SOPs
- Review and approve purchase orders and ensure correct budget allocation
- Manage cash flow, including petty cash and credit card reconciliations
- Validate daily revenue submissions and ensure timely financial reporting
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and operating equipment registers
- Oversee inventory controls, variance checks, and final system sign-offs
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in finance, with at least 2 years in luxury hospitality (essential)
- Strong MS Office skills, experience with accounting systems (Sage advantageous)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Salary & Benefits
R50,000 – R60,000 CTC (DOE)
