Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Mechanic Intern to join our factory team in the textile manufacturing industry. This is a hands-on role where you will receive in-house training and mentorship on our mechanical machinery. The internship offers practical experience, the chance to develop mechanical skills, and the opportunity to grow into a permanent career in the factory maintenance and machinery field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting senior mechanics in maintaining and repairing factory machinery.
  • Identifying mechanical issues and helping to troubleshoot problems efficiently.
  • Performing routine checks and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Supporting the team in ensuring machinery runs safely and effectively.
  • Learning to read technical manuals, blueprints, and machinery diagrams.
  • Following company safety protocols at all times.
  • Assisting with the installation and adjustment of mechanical components when required.
  • Keeping accurate records of maintenance work and repairs.

Requirements:

  • Matric certificate.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in working with machinery.
  • Age under 25 years for those with no prior experience OR up to 30 years old with relevant mechanical experience.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team and take direction from senior mechanics.
  • Physical ability to handle machinery and perform hands-on tasks.
  • A valid drivers license is an advantage but not essential.
