About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee and manage all branch duties in our Cape Town City Centre location. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing sales and warehousing functions with accountability for performance, and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all branch duties
- Line reporting and leadership of Sales and Warehousing teams
- Direct management of the branch team, including Warehouse Manager, Receptionist, Maintenance Manager, and Office Administrator
- Drive sales performance and customer service standards
- Chair/lead sales meetings and ensure follow-through on actions
- Oversee warehousing and distribution performance (stock control, housekeeping, safe operations, and service levels)
- Financial administration and controls: banking, petty cash, debtor age analysis, petrol account checks, and gross profit (GP) control
Requirements
- Matric / High School Certificate, or similar certified qualification
- 3-5 years’ experience in branch/operations management within distribution, Chemical/Petro, or a related environment
- Demonstrated experience managing sales and warehousing functions with accountability for performance
- Good knowledge of warehousing, stock control, and distribution processes
- Competent in Microsoft Excel; workbook/reporting proficiency will be advantageous
- Experience with Pastel or similar ERP/accounting systems will be advantageous
