Job Summary
BARBER – Clipper & Scissor cut confident
V&A WATERFRONT – Cape Town – Western-Cape (ZA)
Starting Date: A.S.A.P
TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS:
- Monday – Friday 09:00 – 19:00 (open/close shift)
- Saturday 09:00 – 17:00
- Sunday CLOSED – may change based on seasonal or operational requirements
REPORTS TO: Manager / Owner
SALARY & COMPANY BENEFITS
- R10,000 – R12,000 Basic per month (based on skills & experience)
- Service Commission

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Permitted for employment in SA – no permits will be issued / South African national
- Barber / Hair Styling certified with an accredited training provider
- Trade tested
- Based in or within reasonable travel distance to the V&A Waterfront
- Groomed & well presented – you are your own advertisement
- Confident and skilled in both Clipper & Scissor cuts
- Confident English (Speak, Read & Write)
EXPERIENCE:
- At least TWO years experience offering Barbering services
- Cruise Ship OR international employment experience is favorable
- high-end salon experience
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Stay ahead of trends in order to offer guests trending services
- Ability to work on adults & kids with equal precision and professionalism
- SKILLS required
- Pattern Designs – BONUS
- Colour (Semi / Demi – Permanent)
- Keratin / Brazilian smoothing treatments (hair & beard)
- Hot Towel Shave
- Clipper Shaves
- Beard Shaping
- Beard Treatments
- Threading – Face (brows & cheeks)
- Waxing – Face (nose, brows, cheeks)
