About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Millwright to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of the Line Trio, you will play a crucial role in driving safety, quality, productivity, and engagement targets across our production lines. Your expertise in maintenance systems and execution will be instrumental in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and promoting adherence to operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Collaboration Partner with the Line Owner and Supervisors as part of the Line Trio to achieve safety, quality, productivity, sanitation, cost, and engagement targets.
- Coach and develop Equipment Owners and associates to strengthen technical capability and equipment ownership.
- Promote and enforce adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Maintenance Systems & Execution Develop, implement, and sustain preventive maintenance (PM) plans and standards.
- Lead breakdown analysis and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring failures.
- Ensure defect handling processes are executed effectively and sustained.
- Manage critical spare parts to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of job cards within the CMMS system.
Requirements
- Qualified Millwright or Electrician with a valid Red Seal Certification
- Minimum 5 years experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment
