Job Summary
Our client, a leading dentistry practice based in the upmarket suburb of Upper Claremont, is looking to appoint a Medical Secretary. The successful candidate will be professional, compassionate, and discreet, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
This is a frontline, fast-paced role responsible for welcoming patients, handling incoming calls and inquiries, scheduling and coordinating appointments, and assisting patients with forms and documentation.
Key Responsibilities

Manage diaries and appointments, ensuring punctuality of schedules
-
Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional manner
-
Handle telephone calls and patient inquiries
-
Create and maintain patient files and records
-
Oversee patient flow to ensure smooth operations
-
Perform general administrative duties and filing
-
Keep reception area neat, organized, and welcoming
-
Maintain confidentiality of all patient, staff, and doctor information
-
Provide efficient, friendly, and professional patient service
Working Hours
-
Monday Thursday: 7:30am 5:00pm
-
Friday: 8:00am 4:00pm
Requirements
-
Matric (Grade 12)
-
Strong administrative and organizational skills
-
Proficient in Excel and computer literate across MS Office
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English & Afrikaans)

Start Date: Immediate
