About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the food industry urgently seeks an experienced South African Millwright to join their team in the Netherlands. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment and contributing to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Maintain conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations (HACCP, GMP).
- Document maintenance activities and update CMMS.
- Participate in process improvements and plant upgrades.
Requirements
- Trade-tested Millwright (Red Seal) qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and automation skills (PLC, hydraulics, pneumatics).
- Willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
- Must be fluent in Afrikaans to understand Dutch-speaking colleagues.
