About the Role
The Assistant Finance Manager (Regional) role at HotelJobs requires a highly skilled finance professional to provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth and operational efficiency. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare; review and present monthly financial reports, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Attend balance sheet and financial reviews
- Follow up on queries, resolve issues and provide guidance on commercial aspects of the business
- Instil a culture of good corporate governance and solid internal controls, including identifying control gaps, follow-up on corrective actions and review of online audit checklists and internal audit reports
- Provide operational support through analytical reviews, monitoring key statistics, profitability and cost analysis and environmental reporting
- Prepare board papers, manage and administer capex budgets, assist with feasibility studies, ad-hoc and special projects
- Travel every quarter to various regions within Eastern and Western Cape
- Assist FM with operational duties
Requirements
- CA(SA) or BCom Accounting Degree + Articles (Essential)
- Proficient in SAP
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Knowledge of Hospitality industry financial accounting principles
- Taxation and companies act knowledge
