Job Description
The Truck Workshop department currently has a vacancy for a detail orientated, process-driven, dedicated individual to join their team. This position requires someone who is able to work in a fast paced, demanding and pressurized environment.
Our comprehensive in-house technical facilities, staffed by Qualified Engineers and Artisans, are responsible for our fleet and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to breakdowns, inspecting, repairing and maintaining our fleet and equipment.
Qualifying Criteria
Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
Newly/Recently Qualified Diesel Mechanic Red Seal Trade Test certificate
Code 10 Drivers License and valid PDP
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar environment specializing in truck fleet maintenance
Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel)
Must be able to work with minimum supervision
Experience working with an Electronic Maintenance system
Knowledgeable on the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English)
Must be prepared to work overtime when required

Hands on practical approach to the job

Good interpersonal and leadership skills
Enjoy practical and manual work & be able to work in a pressurized environment
Must be a team player
Sound understanding of an array of tools and technical equipment
Time management and organizational skills
Display a professional work approach
