Hire Resolve’s client is a leading player in the food and beverage industry in the Western Cape. They are seeking a talented Planning Specialist to join their team and help them optimize their production, inventory management, and distribution processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for production, inventory management, and distribution in alignment with company goals and objectives
• Analyze demand forecasting, inventory levels, and production capacities to optimize planning and scheduling
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, sales, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and effective supply chain management
• Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed
• Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and regulatory requirements to inform planning decisions
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in planning, production, or supply chain management within the food and beverage industry
• Professional experience in SAP/ R3 PP/PI 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in planning and forecasting tools, such as ERP systems, Excel, and other relevant software
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards in the food and beverage industry
