About the Role
A highly experienced Plant Head Steel Manufacturing is sought after to lead a large-scale steel production facility in the Cape Town region, bringing extensive technical knowledge and leadership expertise to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a large-scale steel production facility in the Cape Town region
- Manage plant workforces and ensure efficient operations
- Develop and implement strategic plans for plant modernisation and change management
- Analyse financial performance and provide P&L accountability
- Foster exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgical, or Production Engineering
- 2025 years experience within steel manufacturing environments
- Proven leadership within melt shops and rolling mill operations
- Strong technical knowledge of steelmaking processes, furnace operations, rolling technology, and metallurgical controls
- Demonstrated experience managing large plant workforces
Qualifications
- Advanced management or business qualification (advantageous)
