We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Product Owner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the product backlog, ensuring business requirements are effectively translated into technical deliverables, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality solutions. The Product Owner will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and IT operations, with a particular focus on Point of Sale (POS) systems, Agile software development practices, and ITIL-aligned service management.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product backlog in alignment with business objectives and priorities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture, document, and prioritize business requirements.
• Translate requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure Agile best practices are applied.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (development, testing, operations) to ensure timely delivery of product features and enhancements.
• Oversee incident, problem, and change processes in line with ITIL framework.
• Act as subject matter expert for Point of Sale (POS) systems, ensuring stability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor product performance and user feedback to drive enhancements and optimize the customer experience.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 35 years proven experience as a Product Owner within a software development environment.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Practical experience with JIRA or other Agile project management tools.
• Understanding of the ITIL framework (incident, problem, change management).
• Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems, including implementation or support.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Certifications

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification.
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
