About the Role
Join our international hotel group in Cape Town as an Assistant Front Office Manager, where you’ll be part of a dynamic leadership team overseeing daily operations of the Front Office department. As a key member of the team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth check-in/check-out processes, handling guest concerns, and maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Front Office Manager
- Assist in supervising daily front desk operations and team management
- Guest Service – Handle guest check-ins/outs, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive guest experience
- Staff Supervision – Help train, schedule, and motivate front desk staff
- Shift Management – Oversee front office activities during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operations
- Reservations & Room Allocation – Monitor bookings, manage room inventory, and coordinate with housekeeping
- Cash Handling – Assist with billing, cash reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial records
- Reporting – Prepare daily reports and communicate important information to management

- Experience in front office operations or a related field
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
