About the Role
Premier Hotels & Resorts Ltd is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in Cape Town, playing a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and stability of our hospitality group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate day-to-day financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports up to the Balance Sheet.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax and statutory obligations.
- Manage supplier and customer accounts, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Track and record all expenses and revenue for accurate reporting.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and hospitality-specific financial procedures.
- Support audits by preparing required financial documentation and reconciliations.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in a commercial environment.
- Knowledge of Pastel and/or Xero Accounting software.
- Bookkeeping function to Balance Sheet as a minimum.
