Job Summary
My client is a leading Retailer and is seeking a Financial Director to join their finance team. Are you a CA(SA) with 8 plus years Post Articles in Retail? If so, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
Prepare all financial management reports Verify accurate and timeous completion of monthly financial reports Complete month end reporting pack Prepare year end Statutory Financial Statements Handle annual budget setting, quarterly and rolling forecasts Submit budget and forecast packs Investigate actual spend vs budget Perform analysis and support business case for proposed new stores and company expansion plans Manage AP team Verify payments according to supplier terms Verify AR is collected timeously Manage implementation id NetSuite ERP Expand processes, ensure minimized risk within the region Implement appropriate financial controls Manage audit process and oversee legal requirements Secure adequate insurance cover and manage renewal process as required Ensure compliance with corporate tax and VAT requirements Manage the team, ensure effective and collaborative team work Provide clear communication, guidance and direction when required Mentor and development Country Manager Participate in meetings, training and other workplace health and safety activities
Requirements:
CA(SA) 10 years experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, within the Retail industry Previous management experience, strategic financial analysis, planning and execution experience Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management Please note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
