Job Description

is assisting an established hospitality group in sourcing an experienced and commercially minded leader to oversee the strategic, operational, and brand performance of its Cape Town portfolio as . This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for driving consistent service delivery and operational excellence across multiple sites, while supporting General Managers and department heads to embed standards, streamline systems, and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation. The successful candidate will bring a strong eye for detail, the ability to problem-solve calmly under pressure, and the leadership presence to build accountability, structure, and momentum across teams. Equally important is a strong commercial mindset, with responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, margin optimisation, cost control, and performance reporting, while maintaining the integrity of the guest experience and brand positioning. Working closely with culinary, beverage, and marketing stakeholders, this role supports portfolio growth, protects reputation, and ensures each site performs sustainably and consistently to brand expectations as Group Operations Director. ● Proven senior operational leadership experience within hospitality (multi-site preferred) ● Strong commercial and financial acumen (budgets, cost control, profitability, reporting) ● Track record of building high-performing teams and leading across multiple stakeholders ● Strong standards, compliance, and process orientation with a guest-centric mindset ● Confident communicator with a professional, hands-on leadership style ● Provide strategic direction and oversight across all Cape Town properties ● Implement and maintain standards, procedures, and compliance with company policies and relevant legislation ● Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis, driving margin improvement and cost control ● Oversee procurement and supplier relationships ● Drive high-performance culture through workforce planning, recruitment, succession, engagement, and retention ● Partner with culinary, beverage, and marketing teams to strengthen guest experience and brand alignment ● Support growth initiatives and contribute to long-term portfolio strategy – ASAP – Only open to South African citizens ➡️ – Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required.
