About the Role
The HVAC Installations Technician plays a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and servicing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position requires hands-on expertise in HVAC systems, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the company professionally at all times, adhering to dress code and conduct standards
- Arrive punctually and prepared for each working day
- Ensure correct job preparation, stock control, and readiness before attending customer sites
- Deliver high-quality customer service while taking care to protect customer property
- Follow all reasonable instructions from the Franchisee or Operations Manager on-site
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air-conditioning systems in line with job cards
- Identify potential maintenance risks and report issues proactively
- Work overtime as required to meet operational demands
- Use tools, equipment, and PPE correctly and maintain them in safe working condition
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training when required
- Maintain accurate daily logs and maintenance records
- Comply with manufacturer specifications, service standards, customer requirements, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Assist with customer queries and ensure clear communication
- Complete thorough site clean-up upon completion of work
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in HVAC installation and maintenance
- Grade 12 qualification
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid trade and/or gas certificate (preferred)
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
