About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Slitting Operator to join our flexible packaging printing facility in Cape Town. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our slitting machine and maintaining high standards of quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up slitting job according to customer specifications and standard operating procedures
- Lift raw materials and finished product as required
- Operate a slitting machine in accordance with safety protocols
- Complete Prism time sheets and quality control specifications and line clearance
- Record information on quality inspection sheets as per spec book and measure quality according to standard
- Ensure all standards are maintained (client requirements; standard operating procedures, etc)
- Ensure department is fully compliant with BRC requirements
- Verify pallet control label is on pallet before moving to despatch
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a Slitting Operator within the Flexible Packaging industry
- Knowledge and understanding of Flexible Packaging Manufacturing Process
- Good written and verbal skills
- Good problem-solving, planning and organizing skills
