About the Role
Safari JOBS is currently recruiting for a dynamic Camp Coordinator to join a world-renowned leader in nature training and wilderness education. As a live-in Camp Coordinator, you will be immersed in the African wilderness while actively helping to shape the future of the safari industry. You will have the opportunity to live and breathe the bushveld, connecting directly to the pulse of nature.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall coordination of the day-to-day operations of a remote training camp
- Ensure compliance with concession and reserve rules and regulations
- Ensure all instructors, students, and visitors sign the Code of Conduct and Reserve Rules
- Liaise with reserve management, landowners, and internal company departments on operational matters
- Oversee camp infrastructure, vehicles, equipment, and general maintenance requirements
Requirements
- Clear criminal record
- Excellent employment track record – references will be verified
- Excellent English fluency & literacy
- High level of computer literacy
- National Senior certificate (Grade 12)
- Valid driver’s licence
- Recognised qualification (certificate, diploma, or degree) from an accredited hospitality institution formal high-end housekeeping or lodge operations training, preferably from a 5* lodge background
Qualifications
- Approx. 3 – 5 years’ experience in a remote type environment – e.g: safari lodge, hospitality, conservation or tour operating
- Sound understanding of remote camp or lodge operations, preferably in coordination type roles
- Recognised qualification (certificate, diploma, or degree) from an accredited hospitality institution formal high-end housekeeping or lodge operations training
